Customization Options
The widget supports basic customization through URL parameters appended after the # in the iframe src. Use #state=XX to pre-select a state by its two-letter abbreviation (for example #state=fl for Florida or #state=ca for California). The widget automatically adapts to its container width, so you can control sizing entirely through the iframe width and height attributes. The default height of 560 pixels works well for most layouts but can be adjusted up or down as needed.
Performance and Privacy
The widget is built as a single self-contained HTML page with no external dependencies, no third-party tracking, and no analytics scripts. It loads in under 100 kilobytes total and renders within 200 milliseconds on most connections. Your visitors are not tracked, no cookies are set, and no personal data is collected. The widget uses a single fetch call to load the spot database from anglerfinder.com and then operates entirely client-side. This makes it safe for use on sites with strict privacy policies or GDPR-sensitive audiences.
